Hello
I called earlier today, I am a troubadour living in Turku
I have been playing on Viking Line for about 12 years and at Old Irish Pub venues for about 4 years. Here is a short description of me and what I do
Sam is an Italian singer and guitarist based in Turku Finland, with a long history performing alone and with rock’n’roll bands.
He has performed all over Europe, and shared the stage with Stray Cats, Glenn Hughes, Yngwye Malmsteen, to name a few.
He played with drummers Marky Ramone (Dust, Ramones), Dominic Fontana (Elvis Presley), and Slim Jim Phantom (Stray Cats) with singer Graham Fenton (Matchbox) and Jason Ringenberg (Jason & The Scorchers)
He has a vast repertoire, his main influences being classic rock, pop and country, folk, blues, rock’n’roll and rockabilly.
In his performances Sam sings and plays guitar, harmonica, Stompboard, and loop pedal which allows him to layer guitars to create exciting rhythms and play impressive leads up and down the fretboard. He can play songs with a folky vibe as well as straight rock and roll or medleys of hits with a heavy 4 on the floor beat that will get people dancing.
His repertoire features songs by Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Elvis Presley, CCR, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jimi Hendrix, JJ Cale, Johnny Cash, Eagles, Beatles, Rolling Stones, AC DC, Motorhead, Bon Jovi, Kris Kristofferson, Neil Young, Willie Nelson, Stray Cats, Chris Isaak, Doors, ZZ Top, Billy Idol...
Sam is also a songwriter and produces his own music, both as a solo act and with his rockabilly trio "The Dragons".
