American musician Mike Mercier began his career on the clean streets of Berlin, NH becoming a regular session guitarist for famed BoomTown Productions at age 14, working through his formative years while honing his mastery of classical, jazz, and pub/party rock music.
After graduating Berlin’s High School for the Performing Arts, where he minored in magic and improv, Mike relocated to the desert state of Arizona, instantly becoming a staple in the hotter and drier Phoenix rock scene. After forming and fronting several bands, co-headlining tours with acts like Lightin’ Bugg Jenkins and Aerosmith, he decided to go it alone and pursue the stripped down, organic feel of an acoustic guitar, microphone and a slew of high-end effects pedals. During this time, he toured relentlessly as a solo act, hitting all 50 states except for Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, and West Virginia, playing the college circuit, festivals, stadiums and a GoDaddy holiday party.
In 2016, Mike bid farewell to the year round sun of AZ in favor of Sweden, in turn waving off the glitz/glamour of the big stage in order to start fresh and focus on his passion; playing party rock, country and hip-hop classics in pubs all over the European continent.
With a style all his own, Mike performs carbon copy renditions of an extreme variety of artists ranging from the likes of Johnny Cash and Motörhead to Taylor Swift and Boy George, as well as all the sing-along standards audiences have come to know and love. Leaning on his rudimentary background in magic, audiences world wide have become hypnotized by his beyond-justifiable guitar work, piano-like vocal range, and laser focused attention to detal.
As of 2024, Mike is currently in the studio -like I’m literally sitting next to my producer in the control room while typing this- working on his latest works, slated for release in the near and distant future.Read Less
